Could My Son Be Any More Excited? August 22, 2008

Nothing confirmed by Alltel Arena yet, but Metallica’s website lists a Nov 22 date in Little Rock.   So does Rolling Stone

CheckOneTwo was lucky enough to catch Metallica on the …And Justice For All tour–back in, what, ’89 or ’90?–at Barton Coliseum.  Full on head-bangin’ good time, but with a tiny tiny crowd.  No problem at ALL getting to the front row.

QUESTION:  WHO OPENED FOR METALLICA AT THAT LITTLE ROCK SHOW?

BLOWING MY MIND AWAY with the posts, now that’s what i call bloging!! i haven’t seen so many hits since rod carew. i bet you’ll have a slightly harder time getting to the front row on this one, and if ticket prices are anything like gas prices, i bet it’s a little pricyer too.

I could be mistaken, but I think it was Queensryche on their Operation: Mindcrime tour. Although they had to wait until the Empire tour, and for Silent Lucidity to become a top hit, in order
to come back through and perform Mindcrime in it’s entirety, as originally intended. That show, also at Barton, was equally as cool, partially because Suicidal Tendencies was the opener.

Queensryche–you are correct, sir!! I remember being bummed to miss ST on the later date.
