Nothing is sweeter than getting to 5:00 on a Friday afternoon when 1) I don’t have to work this weekend, 2) The Girl is in town, 3) I got paid today, and 4) there are some goooooooooooood shows on the horizon.   I’m just about to the point of rolling over on my back and asking somebody to scratch my belly.   It’s just that good. 


Whitewater Tavern, 9 p.m., $5:  Doug McKean and the Stuntmen, The Moving Front, Silverton

Vino’s, 8:30 p.m., $7:  Willie Stradlin

Sticky Fingerz, 10 p.m., $8:  ZOSO (Led Zep tribute band)

Rev Room, 9 p.m., $18:  Uberzone, 10th anniversary of Sunshine

Downtown Music, 8 p.m., $6:  Division of Flesh, Land of Mines, Confused Little Girl, and Thousand Knives of Fire

Sticky Fingerz, 9 p.m., $7:  The Whigs (Atlanta, GA), Big Boots, and Venice is Sinking

Downtown Music, 8 p.m., $6:   Deadbird, Skeleton Witch, Circle of the Black Thorn (CD Release of “A Hate Chant of Inner Sight”, and Sports

Rev Room, 9 p.m., $7:  Last Waltz Ensemble (from Atlanta, GA)


Skate World (6512 Mabelvale Cutoff), 5 p.m., $8:  Josh the Devil and the Sinners play at halftime of Roller Derby bout (River Valley Roller Girls v. Rock-n-Renegades).  Hoo-ahh!!
